Answers:

1. Do you play outdoor events?

Yes, we do frequently play outdoor events. We do need to protect our

expensive instruments and music from rain. Please provide either an alternate location or a tent in the event of rain. Also, direct sunlight or extreme cold can  damage the instruments and cause tuning problems for our instruments. Please consider this when choosing the location for our performance. We want our performance to be the best that it can for your event.

2. What do I need to provide for the musicians?

An armless, straight chair needs to be provided for each musician. Adequate lighting is also required. If the lighting is poor, the musicians will need to be informed prior to the event so that they can bring stand lights. Adequate power and extension chords need to be provided for the lights.

3. Are there additional charges for travel?

Yes, there are additional travel charges for any events that are past thirty miles of downtown Beaufort. An additional $50 per musician will be required.

4. Can you perform with an organist or singer?

Yes, we can perform with an organist or singer provided this is arranged in advance of the event. Most of our wedding music does have an optional

keyboard part. For singers, we need to know in which key they plan to perform well in advance of the event. If additional rehearsal time is needed, an additional fee will be charged.

5. How much space is needed for the musicians?

A space of 8' by 8' will provide adequate room for the trio. Less space is needed for the smaller ensembles.

6. How far in advance must I book an ensemble?

The earlier the better. Some weekends (especially in October) are booked early. The musicians availability will determine when booking needs to be completed.

7. How do I book an ensemble?

Call or e-mail us at the information provided in "contact us" to check date availability. We will reserve the date and time once you have made your decision on which ensemble to book.

8. When is payment due?

Payment by check must be received a month in advance of the date. Cash can be provided to the musicians prior to the ceremony.

Frequently Asked Questions for Weddings:

1. How and when do I decide on the music for my wedding?

You may use our repertoire list to help you decide what music you would like. If you have pieces that you need outside of the repertoire list, you must send that information at least one month before the event so that we have time to locate the music and arrange it for the correct instruments. We would be happy to help you with your music choices. Just e-mail any questions that you have.

2. Do I need to select all of the prelude music?

You do not need to select all of your prelude music. We will be happy to include any pieces that you choose. We will choose the remainder of the pieces for you.

3. How do I know if the piece is the correct length for the designated portion of the ceremony?

We are very skillful at stopping the pieces at the correct time if we are given the number of people that will participate in each part of the ceremony. Please complete and e-mail the form under "wedding planning" so that we have this information.

4. Does a member of the trio attend the dress rehearsal?

We do not usually attend the dress rehearsal. We can provide a member of the entire group for an additional cost. It would be the same hourly rate as listed in the prices section. As long as we are provided the information in the "wedding planning" form (located in the wedding planner sidebar), an order of service, who will cue us when the ceremony is ready to start, and what will be said before the start of the recessional, the expense of someone attending the rehearsal is an unnecessary one.

5. Can a piece be played that is not on the repertoire list?

If we are given at least one month's advance notice and the music is available, then we can play other pieces not on the repertoire list.
